Factions

RP
Each of the six primary 76 factions listed above has a default relationship based on the lore in 76 and in the Fallout franchise. While we may know the future of a faction based on franchise lore, the story of 76 is not fully written. Faction leaders should meet, agree on lore and define each of their faction's goals and virtues to set their initial relationships. Nothing prevents these relationships from changing as long as they are consistent with the agreed upon lore.
RP+PvP
Rather than a predetermined outcome (scripted PvP), agree on how a victory or defeat will change the story while keeping all factions in play. Then, fight for your faction's victory.
PvP
We'd like to see other Fallout 76 RP groups get better at PvP. You're missing out on a really fun part of the game. To that end, we'd like to provide PvP training and tips to RP groups so they can take full advantage of everything 76 has to offer.
Your faction members only
Encourage YOUR members to get better. Don't fall into the trap of hiring PvP players to help your faction. There is a history of this in 76 where PvP players believe RP players will never try to get better at PvP, so they approach them with offers to help in exchange for combat supplies. After they exhaust your supplies, they move on to the next RP group.
Attitude
One of the biggest obstacles. You're used to being a god in a single player Fallout game. You don't think you can improve. You think PvP is broken. You think other players are using exploits. If you never try to get better at least you never failed at it. Get out of your comfort zone and grow. Fallout 76 PvP has no consequences - it isn't like DayZ or RUST where when you die you lose ALL of your inventory. You just lose a little caps and whatever junk you were carrying around. Why are you carrying junk around? Put it in your scrap box or stash box. Is your stash box full? Someone can help you transfer inventory to a mule character. Accept that Workshops are PvP Battlegrounds. They always have been. It warns you when you claim. Fly your faction's flag with pride on as many workshops on the map you can hold! By taking a workshop, you are inviting other players to come and try to take it from you. Workshops produce far less material than can be farmed more efficiently elsewhere. They are bait created by the designers of the game!
Improving at PvP
It's all about Build, Gear and Skill. Improving these will also help you in PvE!
Build - How many of your perks contribute to combat effectiveness? How many are just quality of life? There's nothing wrong with quality of life perks, but don't run them all the time.
Gear - Do your weapons and armor have legendary effects that contribute to combat effectiveness? Anyone can get them by rolling at the Purveyor or by using Legendary Crafting. Sure it's a grind, but even one or two star effects can make an enormous difference. Certain consumables are also extremely helpful in PvP.
Skill - Once you have the right Build and Gear, it's time to learn how to use them right.
Team PvP Practice
Due to team PvP in Adventure being broken by Bethesda with Update 20, your best option is to set up a Custom World with PvP set to Always, with opposing factions broken up into teams. Whatever happens in a Custom World stays there, so you won't lose your caps, supplies or gear condition in Adventure.
Good Sportsmanship
Don't prepare the battle zone with advantages. Don't use any exploits. Stick to the agreed-upon rules. Don't assume the opponent is breaking the rules if you are losing. Instead, try asking them how you can improve.
If you can do all this and not be toxic, get in touch!
